This piece is part of a campaign by Taring Padi in support of the residents of Wadas Village, Purworejo, Central Java, who are opposing plans for open-pit quarry mining in their community. The proposed mining would supply materials for constructing the Bener Dam, which locals fear will endanger their environment and livelihoods of coffee farmers and villagers.
