This piece is part of a campaign by Taring Padi in support of the residents of Wadas Village, Purworejo, Central Java, who are opposing plans for open-pit quarry mining in their community. The proposed mining would supply materials for constructing the Bener Dam, which locals fear will endanger their environment and livelihoods.
